Corporate Social Responsibility FY 2021

MTID’s existence cannot be separated from the surrounding community where MTID conducts operational activities. Therefore, MTID is committed to build and develop various programs that support sustainable development. This program is expected to make a real contribution to the local community to realize the Mission, Vision 30, and the Corporate Code of Conduct to maintain the highest ethical standards, prioritizing justice, and integrity in all activities to achieve a harmonious life with the surrounding community and the environment.

The contribution to society is by conducting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Through CSR activities, the company can provide sustainable benefits for the surrounding community and contribute to social empowerment. The Company believes that the right target of CSR activities, it can maintain the sustainability and develop together with the community.

The CSR program which initiated by MTID is related to economic, health, education, and environmental management aspects. Each of these activities involves the care of workers, the local community, and the wider community to improve the quality of life. MTID conducts CSR based on work ethics, principles of corporate governance, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, employee awareness, and community awareness around MTID's operational areas.

To highlight, MTID's CSR program is based on four pillars, namely Social Care, School Care, Health Care, and Green Care. The following is an explanation of the four pillars of MTID's CSR:

  • Social Care is an MTID awareness program related to the company's concern for MTID employees and the community in the company's operational areas who are experiencing natural disasters.
  • School Care is an MTID care program related to education. This program aims to assist government programs in terms of improving and developing education for communities in the Company's operational areas.
  • Health Care is a program related to the health of MTID employees and the community living around MTID operational areas.
  • Green Care is an activity related to the mission of keeping the environment around the Company's operational areas beautiful and green, so that people living around MTID's operational areas have a good quality of life. Some of the Green Care activities include waste treatment, planting trees (greening), and others.

During 2021, MTID's CSR program focused on several activities as follows:

  1. School Care:

    In 2021, MTID Group remains committed to provide donations in the form of funds to support school infrastructure, student admissions and students who carry out field work practices such as: 

    • Donation of funds to support infrastructure and operational facilities for the implementation of PAUD (Indonesia Early Childhood Care and Education) - SPS PAUD Plamboyan Komplek Cinambo Indah RT 03 RW 05, Pakemitan Village, Cinambo District, Bandung City, (Jan-Oct 2021).
    • Donation of MTID’s laboratory equipment for SMKN 13, Jl. Soekarno Hatta KM 10, Jatisari Village, Buah Batu District, Bandung City, (16 April 2021).
    • PKL (Field work practicum) programs for schools and university. 

  2. Health Care:

    Some examples of MTID Health Care programs in 2021 include the success of government programs in the implementation of COVID19 Vaccination for MTID Employees and Communities around MTID, organizing blood donations in collaboration with PMI, etc. Since several years ago, MTID has been regularly collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross Society (PMI) - to hold blood donation activities. Through blood donation, MTID wants to increase the awareness of MTID employees towards others who need blood. This 3-monthly periodical activity received a positive response from MTID employees. This can be seen from the number of employees who register at every blood donation event at the MTID Factory -Bandung.

    • Donation of operational funds for the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccine for RW 05 CinamboBandung City, (12 August 2021).
    • Donation of operational funds for the implementation of the COVID19 vaccine for Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan (the task Force for the acceleration of handling) COVID-19 RW 05 Cinambo-, Bandung City, (29 September 2021).
    • Donation for Perlindungan Pekerja Rentan (the Protection of Vulnerable Workers JKK and JKM for BPJS Employment, Neglasari Village, Cibeunying Kaler District, Bandung City, (25 October 2021).

    • Organizing Mutual Cooperation Vaccination for MTID Employees' Families, (20 September 2021).
    • Implementation of regular blood donors for MTID employees in collaboration with PMI Bandung, (13 December 2021). 

  3. Social Care:

    In the late 2021, CSR activities related to Social Care is donation of 3,000 bottles of mineral water for the landslide disaster in Sumedang, West Java, which have already handed  to the Sumedang Landslide Natural Disaster Post (January 2021).
